Assisting in the transformation of the physical and metaphysical being, through massage therapy, yoga and more.
Rebecca Booth, RMT, RYT200
I am a Registered Massage Therapist, a Yoga Teacher, and the holder of a diploma in Health, Wellness and Fitness from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. I grew up on a 10 acre hobby farm in Dunnville, Ontario, and recently returned to my hometown, after 3 years of adventuring in the Ottawa Valley.
I have extensive experience as a dancer, dance teacher and competitive dance coach, where I focused mainly on the study of Classical Ballet. In my mid-twenties after sustaining several injuries, I made the decision to transition from the rigors of Ballet, to practicing Hatha and Yin yoga. During this transition, I really saw value in what yoga had to offer with respect to optimizing both my physical and mental health, and I eventually decided that I needed to share these teachings with others.
In March of 2021, I graduated from the Yoga Teacher Training Program offered at White Pine Yoga in Pembroke, and have been offering one-on-one yoga instruction as a complementary treatment modality in my Massage Therapy practice since October of 2021.
I skillfully combine my knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, with my passion for creative sequencing, in order to deliver enjoyable, well thought out, purposeful yoga classes for students of all levels and abilities. I focus mainly on teaching Hatha and Yin styles of yoga, and plan to offer guided sound bath meditations in the near future.
I am very disciplined with respect to maintaining a healthy work/life balance. I spend my personal time jetskiing, boating, cycling, sipping tea, practicing yoga, participating in continuing education courses, building community, cuddling with my fur babies, and spending time with my family.
